Fruits are another essential food group. An apple a day does keep the doctor away. There are various fabulous facts about fruits. Did you know that apples help you to stay awake? Did you know that as per some diet, you can eat as much grape fruit as you want? In fact, there is a specific diet called the grape fruit diet, as per which you have the liberty to munch on to grape fruit all day long. Lemons are great too… There is a lemonade diet too, that people swear on. In fact, as per the lemonade diet, you can keep sipping onto lemonades (void of sugar) and lose weight.

Just one thing has to be kept in mind. At least, include 5 different kinds of fruits on a daily basis. The idea is to include one from each family. Always opt for seasonal and fresh fruit and abstain from stale fruits. Another point to be noted is that whole fruits have more nutrients than fruit juices.
