There are various myths regarding food that keeps circulating all around. These myths often misguide us .Let us take a few of them and discard them.

1) Salads are good for health and fat free- this fact is true. However that does not mean that you can go for a luxurious mayonnaise salad sprinkled with yummy mozzarella cheese. Wake up!!! Indulging in such salads will only make your waist line go broader and broader.

2) Skipping meals is good for health. Most of us make this drastic mistake of skipping meals. Nothing can be worse than this. If we skip one meal , we end up over eating in the next one. So as a result, instead of losing weight, we put on weight. Specially try to avoid skipping break fast. Break fast is really important for our system as it kick starts our body with the necessary nutrients.

3) Starving will help one lose weight. Many people try and abstain from eating as much as they can. They think that by starving them selves, they can get a leaner and fitter body. However excessive starving can induce a number of ailments like bulimia, anorexia and so on .

4) Dieting is the key to lose weight. Another common myth. The idea is to balance once diet with one’s exercise regime to start noticing results.
