Crunches are the best to get a well-toned abdomen. The more you do them, the better
it is for you. However, doing 100 or 150 crunches a day can become quite dangerous
if we do them incorrectly. Most of us end up hurting ourselves, as we are not
aware of how to do the exercise properly. Moreover, may a times, we crib that
though we are exercising a lot, we are not getting the desired result. All this
is because we are doing them incorrectly.
Remember to keep your stomach stuck to the ground. It helps to pull your stomach
muscles in and work them out properly. Unless we do this, our abdomen will not
realize the desired pull and will not be worked upon properly.
Always breathe in while moving up and breathe out while going down. This is the
correct way of breathing. If incorrectly done, then it may lead to undesirable
results.
Remember, the hands are only for your support and not for lifting your body up.
Hands are there only to support your head (and to avoid it banging on to the floor).
Never try to use your hands to lift your body up as it may end up spraining your
neck.
